Wanting a night out in Split but don’t know where to begin? We have you covered, here we will show you the best nightlife experience you can find in Split, Croatia beginning with our very own famous Split After Dark, the number one nightlife option in the country.
Split After Dark - Split Night Out
Split After Dark has undoubtedly and rapidly become one of the most popular nightlife destinations on the Dalmatian Coast and its obvious why; they have amazing value, you get to visit locations you otherwise might not get to experience and they consistently have 100+ guests at each event so you are guaranteed to meet many like-minded travellers every single night. It is also a cheaper way to experience the boat party as often Out to Sea Split Boat Party tends to sell out a long way in advance during the high season (make sure to lock those tickets ASAP).
Split After Dark is an ideal option for a Split night out and from us to you, it is our number one choice! In 2023 and 2024 they worked closely with Jimmy Bar and Bacvice Beach Club, offering free shots at both locations and both have proved to be favourites of guests as they both have their positives. Jimmy Bar is a small locally owned cafe bar on the waterfront, a great place to grab a cheap drink and get to know your fellow pub crawlers for the evening. Club Bacvice is a huge venue that can hold over one thousand guests and the drinks are also more reasonably priced than most other locations you'll find open this late.
Split Nightlife Events
As the Old Town of Split is really the epicentre of all nightlife and touristy venues, the city will often host events all year round to show off the real culture of the city. Split Springfest is one example that is held around the city right at the beginning of the season and is a great way to try some local delicacies while bringing the whole city together, they even have some of the most well known local DJ’s playing.
Throughout the summer you’ll also see many sporting events being televised all down the Riva and around town. This is often either the local football team Hajduk or potentially even the Croatian National Football team and they might even be playing down the road at Poljud stadium. Locals really get behind their team and you will see all the bars pumping with atmosphere, nothing beats a night out like after a huge football win in Split!
Split Nightclubs
Split has an ever growing number of nightclubs across the city. Both located in the heart of Old Town and right across the peninsula. A lot of these are only open seasonally, some catering more to international and touristy music and some strictly only play local and balkan music meaning that when there is a decline in tourism over the winter, the international clubs are forced to shut down and the nightlife somewhat shifts away from the centre of the city.
Over the summer you’ll find a lot of these venues are pumping and crowded every single night and they’ll often charge you an entrance fee, however visiting in the shoulder season might allow you to enter for free and have a little more space on that dance floor! Over the winter the local clubs may only open for a couple of nights per week as the population in Split dramatically decreases and locals tend to only work and have an income seasonally. Although there are many more international students carrying out their studies in Split meaning the international nightlife scene is slowly growing.
